This must be Thursday...

The day is just frustrating enough that I need to vent. Blogger is allowed through the work firewall, so a new account it is... I'll try to keep this up without it being all whining, though I suppose I can't promise.

And now, on to the venting...

In the immortal words of Dentarthurdent, I never could get the hang of Thursdays *sigh*

Items of the day, in bullets to prevent TOO much rambling:
  • Princess still trying to get over the flu.
  • DH now has the flu... really badly...
  • ...and is so out of it that he took four (count em FOUR) doses of relenza at once.
  • Babydoll slept half the night facing her daddy.
  • It's like an exciting little mystery game to find out which of us will have the flu next.
  • Our plane tickets for the now obviously cancelled trip for the weekend? $150 change fee per ticket.
  • Our hotel for the weekend? A prepaid non-refundable $200
  • The baby's dress for the wedding we will now NOT be attending? $38
  • The birthday cake my aunt ordered for Babydoll to have at the wedding on Saturday (also babydoll's birthday) is now pointless
  • We will try to do a mini-celebration for her birthday this Saturday at home...
  • ...assuming she and I don't get the flu as well.
  • But we won't take professional birthday portraits just yet, because Babydoll hurt her face badly enough today that she now has a bruise on it, according to the phone call I got from the daycare center. You know, the call that freaked me the hell out because why was the daycare calling me???
  • Is this day over yet? PLEASE???
I honestly can't take anything else today. I realize that DH has it much worse off than I do. He's the one with the miserable flu. I'm just... tired. So tired.

We haven't had a day with NO ONE feeling ill in... ummm...  months? I don't know... I don't even remember.

I have spent the entire day sort of staring into space and not doing much. i can't seem to make my brain function...

and so ends my first post... full of lovely complaning and whining. Yaaaah...
